Witch’s Hands – Halloween Craft Supplies
- Green paper
- Scraps of black, red or purple paper, felt, tissue paper etc.
- Pencils and pens
- White glue
Witch’s Hands – Halloween Craft Instructions
- Take the green paper and draw around the children’s hands. If the kids are older, they can pair up and draw around each other’s hands. When done, cut out carefully.
- Cut out oval shapes to resemble long, spiky finger nails from the scraps of black, red and/or purple paper and stick them on the cut out hand. You can embellish with glitter and/or stickers if desired.
- Next draw some black veins on the hand, you can use your own hand for inspiration. Add a wart or two. You can create them by scrunching tissue paper into tiny balls and sticking them on the hands with some white glue.
When the witch’s hands are finished you can use them to decorate around your TV for your scary movie night, the fridge, or decorate the table for your Halloween dinner. When attached to the edge of a door it even looks like someone spooky is hiding on the other side!
They even work as invitations. Just attach some white paper to the back of the hands and you can write an invitation for your superscary Halloween party!
Witch’s Hands – Halloween Craft Variations
Create monster hands instead of witch’s hands. Replace the green paper with cream or brown paper and square off the fingers before cutting out. Black or silver fingernails would be best for these, and they will need to be square in shape too. Besides the veins you can draw spiky black hair in the center of the hand and the knuckles with a black pen.
Rather have some ghost hands? Use white paper, stretch out the handprints to create long, thin fingers. Create fingernails out of grey or silver scraps and use silver glitter to decorate. Personally I wouldn’t add veins on these, but you can if you want too. In that case, I would use a pencil or a grey pen.
Have fun making these for your next Halloween party. Your children will have so much fun!
